Chrissie Krebs is an Author Illustrator who resides in Belgrave, Victoria.
She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Sydney University’s College of the Arts in 2000 as well as a Master of Teaching at Monash University in 2012. Chrissie teaches Visual Art part time at a secondary school in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs while she works on ideas and illustrations for upcoming books.
Her first book ‘This Is A Circle’ was released in March 2016 by Random House and her second book ‘There’s Something Weird in Santa’s Beard’ is due for release later in 2016.
WHAT CYA CONFERENCE DID FOR ME
I heard about the CYA conference in 2013 and entered the Aspiring illustrated Picture book category and won 1st place!
The following year I came second in the same category.
I found the whole experience extremely positive and a real confidence boost.
The categories are judged by professionals in the industry, the feedback sheets are priceless for offering ideas and encouragement for your practice and the support for fellow aspiring writers/ illustrators makes the whole experience a safe and exciting one
