Samantha Turnbull is a children's author, slam poet, and broadcast journalist.

 

She wrote the five-book children's series The Anti-Princess Club (Allen & Unwin, 2015), and the children’s animated TV and chart-topping podcast series Fierce Girls (ABC, 2018).

 

She is a five-time NSW finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam and particularly enjoys sharing her passion for this growing art form.

 

Sam loves school visits so much, she was recently inspired to start her Masters in Teaching (Primary) at the University of New England.

 

Her 'day job' is as a journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
