Steve is an award-winning children's author with a passion for social and emotional well-being. Four decades experience working with children has helped Steve hone skills which he translates into his writing.
One Thousand Snapshots - Playtime Books, won the Australian Association of Family Therapy Book Award for Younger Readers 2022, shortlisted for the WA Premier's Book Awards 2021 and the Children’s Peace Literature Awards 2023. Ling Li's Lantern - MidnightSun, won the Picture Book All Ages Category Northern Lights Book Awards 2021,
In recognition of his contribution to children’s well-being, Steve received an Order of Australia Medal in 2016.
