Eve Tonelli has been in publishing for over fifteen years, following a career as an interpreter, which ignited her passion for language. She has worked broadly across the industry, editing both non-fiction and fiction in educational, commercial and literary fields. After five years at Scholastic, during which she participated in the APA Residential Editorial Program, she has spent the last four years as a Senior Children’s Editor at HarperCollins. In 2018, Eve attended the prestigious Leadership Strategies in Book Publishing course at Yale University.
Eve has worked closely with countless Australian authors and illustrators including Jackie French, Emily Rodda, Graeme Base, Andrew Daddo, the May Gibbs estate, James Moloney, Jen Storer, Mitch Vane, Gabrielle Tozer, Michael Wagner, Amie Kaufman, Beck Feiner, Tania McCartney, Eliza Henry Jones, Emma Quay, Sheryl Gwyther, Rebecca McRitchie, Jonathan Bentley, Matt Shanks, Anne Spudvilas, Sara Acton and Andy Joyner. She was also editor for both the poetry anthology A Boat of Stars, and Begin, End, Begin, a #LoveOzYA anthology, which showcased the talents of many authors and illustrators.

About the bootcamps
The Bootcamp is a day spent with an editor where you will receive feedback on your work in small group sessions, time to work on your manuscripts, followed by a progress session where they will give you further feedback; there is also a discussion panel and a Q&A session.
Places for the Bootcamp are strictly limited to four people per group, with each editor working with two groups.
Groups will be divided into two groups of Picture Books authors
You do not need to be coming to the conference to join a bootcamp.
