Luna Soo is a senior editor at Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing. She works with talented authors to create novels that inspire and amaze young readers. A part-time bookseller and lifelong book-lover, she’s keen to help diversify Australia’s publishing industry so that all readers can see themselves on the page.
Luna is looking for energetic stories for middle-grade readers (ages 9-12) in any genre except high fantasy and sci-fi. She is also looking for compelling contemporary fiction for young adults (ages 12+). She prefers stories that have a unique 'voice' and/or perspective on the world, and is particularly interested in own voices stories. She is happy to assess picture book text, but not illustrations.
Luna is not looking for non-fiction, board books or novelty books (such as pop-up books or lift-the-flap books).
